Indiegogo Week Three Update

Much progress has been made in the lab this past week.

While there were no donations/investments made to the Indiegogo, that did not stop the lab from moving forward! The film dryer enclosure was built, and we are now waiting on the air system to be delivered. It will house the film as it is being dried in a zero-dust zone for optimum scanning. Proper professional-grade film hangers were purchased and set up for the enclosure.

We ordered additional tanks and reels, which will be coming in later this week. This will help cut down on unnecessary chemical usage, and the additional reels will help in expediting film processing downtime.

Merch! Our Cricut was put to use for the first time ever this week, aiding in merch making! I cannot wait to make a video of all the cool stickers being made for everything. My husband/lab partner was very proud the Christmas gift he gave me was finally being used.

We also did hours of research. Finally have narrowed down sources for film. I know there's a shortage of color film, but I am working on having it available when possible. Film sleeves for your processed film has been something that weighs on my mind. It's even kept me up some nights. My vision for your film is to have everything perfectly archived when we send it back to you.  I am also working on who will be our best provider for online photo delivery. I am planning on having jump/flash/thumb drives & external (1tb+) hard drives available for purchase when processing your film. This way you have something tangible for your film to be archived on.

Finally, shipping research. We will be going with USPS Priority Mail. In Louisiana, if sent by Priority Mail, it is usually a 24-hour/Overnight wait. This is a big deal when it comes to cost. For our out-of-state folks, I am working on a 24-hour/Overnight service that best suits our collective needs for the best price possible. So far, FedEx is beating UPS & DHL. I hope to have a final answer for you by next week.

All in all, this week was a great week. We hope to see some activity on here this week! Don't forget to check out our Indiegogo! Help us open sooner by donating/investing today!
